T.S.O.L. + 2STROKELOVER + FREEBORNE are taking over the stage on Oct 8th. 3 bands. 1 night. ALL PUNK ROCK đ€đœ
Ron Emory and Joe Wood from T.S.O.L BIO
Joe Wood and Ron Emory met in the early punk rock days of LA and Orange County. They had a lot in common with their love for skating surfing old cars, guitars and music they hit it off and started playing together. The voice of Joe and the innovative guitar chops of Ron it was a perfect time to write some songs. With the rhythm section consisting of Mike Roche(TSOL) and Mitch Dean (The Jones's). In early 1983 they locked themselves in their friend Patatoheads garage for a few months and resurfaced with the classic album CHANGE TODAY. They are reunited after many years to once again let people feel the live energy of these classic songs.
2STROKELOVER BIO
A high - octane rock power trio that merges the raw, unhinged energy of 60's garage, psych & punk. Infused with iconic guitar flavors, their sound delivers a fiercely nostalgic yet modern punch that captures the true, gritty spirit of live rock and roll.
FREEBORNE BIOÂ
It all started in about 1999. I met Rama Smith at the chart house about seven months after I moved to maui started a band. After playing with Brian the bird man we got the skateboarder version Brian we just called him big B. Brian s, Rama s, James w, In Devil Town band. Popular in Lahaina MAUI 2003-2005 played shows all over island including the premier of Dog town and Z Boys at the MAACC. Our studio was next to the famous dive bar called âthe sly Mongooseâ may it live forever in infamy. Now, destroyed by the fires of recent. Stay forever MAUI strong! Â
The band has a Christian point of view in its music lyrics. The band name devil town was referring to the overall hard party scene in town we saw at the time. Well, in about 2006 I decided to go by the Freeborne band. It was still rough going having a band on Maui keeping people together so I put the guitar down and picked up the paintbrush thinking someday when I was a famous artist, I would get the band back together. Did I know that would really happen in a big way. Today the lineup includes veteran Bass Player Joey Reyes Todd on the drums, Johnny Orlando on the guitar and me and James Forwent Welch on the guitar vocals & harmonica, currently celebrating an album release and working on getting some shows going on Maui.
